The China International Railway Conference for Urban & Intercity Rail Transit (CIRC) was initially established in 2002 and augments Rail+Metro China to create a high-quality platform combining both “exhibition and conference”. From 2018, CIRC has been supported by the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Transport Working Group. Under the guidance of the Ministry of Transport of China and the Chinese Academy of Sciences, with a concentration on “high-end, international, and professional” meetings, it is providing rail transit exchange activities for the benefit of APEC’s 21 member economies, while also serving the priorities of China’s transportation development strategy and making positive contributions to the development of the rail transit industry.

The “APEC Innovation in Public Transport (INPUT) Competition” is an international exchange project jointly guided by the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Policy Partnership for Science and Technology Innovation, the Ministry of Science and Technology of China, and the Ministry of Transport of China. It aims to promote international academic exchange and cooperation between rail transit-focused universities among APEC economies, to enhance the innovative spirit and practical ability of young talent in transportation science and technology, and to promote the rapid development of modern transportation science and technology, as well as the transformation and application of new technology.

China’s national railway infrastructure and urban rail transit networks are developing rapidly, with the surpassing of various scientific and technological milestones contributing towards this meteoric rise in public transportation capability. Belt & Road Young Transport Talent Plan (BRYYT PLAN) is the international exchange program supported by China’s Ministry of Transport, aiming at pioneer a range of activities such as organizing on-line and off-line forums, forming experts and talents groups and facilitating the international exchange.
